Aaron's Loading Dock needs help

This is in the Asheville City Limits and this rear loading dock off of the Patton Avenue Aarons is falling apart. The whole thing looks like it is about to cave in and the railing looks pretty dangerous. Not that anyone should be playing back here, but accidents happen... and situations like this make it that much easier.

Capital Center Asheville NC by Beverly-Grant

I love looking up at the balconies on this new building in Downtown Asheville. Beverly-Grant really did a great job. Did you notice the top balcony on the building if you have passed by? It is beautiful. Great building, great construction, and great development. www.Beverly-Grant.com

Construction on Pack Square Park in Asheville North Carolina

This big area, which was not used for much except special events, protests, and a shortcut to court in the past is now on track to becoming a beautiful park right smack in the center of Downtown Asheville North Carolina. Wow. Downtown Asheville development is still moving nicely. Contractors in the area with any research know that Asheville is one of the ripest cities in America right now.

Old Asheville Chamber Site, growing daily

How many more stories is going on this great site location overlooking I-240, right across from the Buncombe County Sheriffs Department? It looks like 8 stories are already on the building with the right side going up to 10 stories.

Versant Asheville in trouble... Europe in Asheville needs help

Everyone in construction and real estate has heard of Versant. It is located in the Woodfin area of North Asheville / Buncombe. Word is that they have some debtors that are tired of waiting for their money. This market and holiday season is really hitting all of us bad. For the big plans Versant has, they were trying to break in the market as the market was dying. I am hoping that they get bailed out either by the companies (waiting for their money), or by another investor that wants to take it over. They owe about $3.8 million dollars for several things including $1.7 million in paving and road work. http://www.versantasheville.com/

Post Office Shopping Center in Enka Candler, West of Asheville

Big steel structure going in next to the Post Office on Sand Hill Rd (between West Asheville and Candler). This is a wonderful little community up here, and there are so many lines of beautiful, cozy, and sometimes giant homes. Big growing area with Biltmore Lake (Old Enka Lake) right around the corner.

North Asheville Construction in Woodfin

This is an update on the work going on right across from New Bridge Baptist Church on Elk Mountain Rd. With all of the big Reynold's Mountain Construction and Development, this is a great location in North Asheville.

Merrimon Avenue Backed Up Again

More road work going on in North Asheville on Merrimon Avenue right in front of the McDonalds. This 4 lane needs to go to 6 soon, and they need to make the Beaver Lake to Weaverville strip a 4 lane somehow. Figure it out now, before it goes too far.

Patton Avenue Parking Lot Repair

On Patton Avenue, right in front of Sherwin Williams paint store as you can see in the background. That parking lot is terrible. They need to rebuild something there and just redevelop that whole strip.

New Ace Hardware on Merrimon Avenue North Asheville

It used to be the neighborhood shoe store (Houser Shoes). Today, it is being remodeled into the new community Ace Hardware Store. Little businesses like this have to plant stores like this strategically in between the larger Lowe's and Home Depot stores in Asheville and Weaverville.

Carolina Cornerstone Asheville NC Contractor

Carolina Cornerstone in Asheville North Carolina recently completed these beautiful condominiums in the "down downtown" Asheville area. Scott and his team over there have been very instrumental in developing the lower part of the City. Sometimes in these areas there is not too much profit to be made. CCCI has worked with Mountain Housing Opportunities to provide very nice 2 and 3 bedroom homes for families who would not normally qualify for a new home. Here is one of their premier projects in the area called the "Clingman Lofts". Pretty popular already being just 5 minutes to the center of downtown Asheville and 3 minutes from the West Side. They also do commercial work and are the ones who successfully built the Aston Park Tennis Center Clubhouse, which is right around the corner from this location. Some of their projects can also be seen on Abandre.com. Their office is located at 357 Depot St Asheville NC 28801. 828-251-9067 or CCCIDepot@bellsouth.net.

Highway Construction in Asheville Skyland area

Construction in South Asheville is exploding. We are talking about traffic jams, shopping madness, and peace only 5 minutes away into the Biltmore Park property. Here are some highway contractors working on building the new road that will expand this popular exit. There is also major road work being done on Long Shoals Road going out toward Hwy 191, Brevard Road. If you get off this exit and make a right at the light, Biltmore Park is the next left (behind McDonalds), and if you look straight ahead you will see nice 4 lane that was installed not too long ago. Very nice work and development.

Bitmore Park Construction in Asheville

Lots of development going on in Biltmore Park in South Asheville. One of these photos is of the new parking deck and some apartments beside them. The other is taking a look up the town square (circle), many businesses to the right and left, and some new apartments/condos under construction, straight ahead.

Old Diesel Tank Removal in Downtown Asheville

Stopped by this site today near downtown Patton Ave and Haywood Street, and they had a trackhoe digging up these old fuel tanks. Do not know at this time what is going to be built in this spot, but it is a great downtown location right off the Westgate Bridge if you are coming into downtown from West Asheville.

New Construction in Asheville NC

Here is an apartment complex in West Asheville that is constantly building and growing. Word is that recently they are having a problem with the renters not paying, but that is happening everywhere with this current economy. Still they build! Construction in Asheville NC may have slowed down for a moment, but it is quickly resuming everywhere.

Construction in Asheville about to pick up

Asheville North Carolina was on a nice run with home building and construction, until this bad market hit and everything pretty much stopped. Now the President has finally been chosen, and we are waiting for some word (and a quick miracle) from them. Besides that, we believe the area of Asheville is ready to be sowed. Looking forward to Spring 2009! www.AshevilleBuildingAndRealEstate.com
