Asheville Construction on Biltmore Avenue 1/09

Here is some quick footage of the bad traffic and road work going on in front of St Joseph's Hospital in Asheville North Carolina. The roads right here in front of these hospitals (St Joe's and Mission) are very tight, and an easy place to get sideswipped. Construction on this road made it that much worse.

Construction in front of the BCDF / Asheville Jail

With the new jail (to the right), officially named the Buncombe County Detention Facility, some last touch up work is needed to finish the connector area outside and blend it together somewhat. The crews were pouring concrete while we were there, shoveling dirt, and prepping.

Aaron's Loading Dock needs help

This is in the Asheville City Limits and this rear loading dock off of the Patton Avenue Aarons is falling apart. The whole thing looks like it is about to cave in and the railing looks pretty dangerous. Not that anyone should be playing back here, but accidents happen... and situations like this make it that much easier.

Capital Center Asheville NC by Beverly-Grant

I love looking up at the balconies on this new building in Downtown Asheville. Beverly-Grant really did a great job. Did you notice the top balcony on the building if you have passed by? It is beautiful. Great building, great construction, and great development. www.Beverly-Grant.com

Haynes Electric on Tunnel Road in Asheville

Asheville Electricians from Haynes Electric work on some power lines on Tunnel Road a little East of Downtown Asheville.

Construction on Pack Square Park in Asheville North Carolina

This big area, which was not used for much except special events, protests, and a shortcut to court in the past is now on track to becoming a beautiful park right smack in the center of Downtown Asheville North Carolina. Wow. Downtown Asheville development is still moving nicely. Contractors in the area with any research know that Asheville is one of the ripest cities in America right now.

Old Asheville Chamber Site, growing daily

How many more stories is going on this great site location overlooking I-240, right across from the Buncombe County Sheriffs Department? It looks like 8 stories are already on the building with the right side going up to 10 stories.

Versant Asheville in trouble... Europe in Asheville needs help

Everyone in construction and real estate has heard of Versant. It is located in the Woodfin area of North Asheville / Buncombe. Word is that they have some debtors that are tired of waiting for their money. This market and holiday season is really hitting all of us bad. For the big plans Versant has, they were trying to break in the market as the market was dying. I am hoping that they get bailed out either by the companies (waiting for their money), or by another investor that wants to take it over. They owe about $3.8 million dollars for several things including $1.7 million in paving and road work. http://www.versantasheville.com/

Post Office Shopping Center in Enka Candler, West of Asheville

Big steel structure going in next to the Post Office on Sand Hill Rd (between West Asheville and Candler). This is a wonderful little community up here, and there are so many lines of beautiful, cozy, and sometimes giant homes. Big growing area with Biltmore Lake (Old Enka Lake) right around the corner.

North Asheville Construction in Woodfin

This is an update on the work going on right across from New Bridge Baptist Church on Elk Mountain Rd. With all of the big Reynold's Mountain Construction and Development, this is a great location in North Asheville.

Here are some of the crews tackling the Kituwah Academy of Culture, Arts, and Language. The finished product is going to be so beautiful.
